During WWII Beatrice Newman was having babies in Holland during the largest man-made famine in History. That life is always rubbing right up against death. That tryrants rule then they fall. That suffering ends. That there is hope, hope, hope for us all.

is where you begin, you buried your lover’s
name on paper in the ground. A secret the cold
earth would hold for you, to keep it so safe and
so very sound.

black curtains in your living room. All the

rucksack, before he was gone he was there.
